Working on Lost in Space Season 2 was a dynamic, end-to-end previs experience that spanned the entire season. I collaborated directly with the client-side team, working alongside VFX Supervisor Marion Spates, Director/Showrunner Jabbar Raisani, Previs Supervisor Dirk Valk, and Terron Pratt to bring complex sci-fi sequences to life before cameras rolled.
My responsibilities covered Previs, Techvis, Layout, and Animation across all episodes. In sequences where storyboards were not provided, I stepped in to help create and direct visual storytelling from scratch, ensuring the scenes conveyed both the narrative beats and technical requirements for filming. This involved designing camera moves, choreographing action, and planning visual effects integration in a way that supported both the director’s vision and the production’s practical needs.
The previs work allowed the production team to anticipate on-set challenges, align departments, and execute ambitious VFX-heavy shots with precision. By bridging creative storytelling with technical planning, I helped ensure that Lost in Space’s signature mix of emotional drama and large-scale spectacle translated seamlessly from concept to screen.
